All I have to say is... how long has it been?!
Now on with the story!!
A very good friend of mine introduced me to his new girlfriend Dora, he had mentioned prior, that he thought she would make and awesome model. And shortly after meeting her, I totally agreed!
Thinking about the story in my head, and trying to figure out what the characters were going to be, and how they would work in translating the visuals into a sequence that everyone can relate to.
I am sure many of you have heard of Dora the Explorer, well Dora became the first character, a sophisticated proper 1920s-1940s Parisian explorer, that has great focus on her career and her success. Feeling like she's lost touch with a very important side of her, but doesn't know what it is. Deciding to take off on an expedition to find this missing piece, Dora boards a train and heads back to where it all started.
As Dora continues her search, another character comes out to play, and vivacious and care free girl, loving the earth and trees as they embrace her carefree spirit. Taking off on her daily wander about the woodland realm she calls home, she begins to notice things around that she had never seen before, a wooden box lays behind her near a tree that she spends most of her time in.
Soon enough the two characters finally cross each others path, the explorer realizes the person standing before her is a reflection of her self, or rather who she used to be. Our nature girl is sprawled out on a tree in bright yellow and the evening shade falling on her face, as she calls Dora back to her. Does she go?
The story other than the character definitions above, is open to your own interpretation. So feel free to share your thoughts :)
I will post the pictures soon, once I have decided who's going to print them ;)

Is it True???
An email sent to me a few days ago indicated a mad crazy "Get this shit out of the store" sale where everything, and I do mean everything is, wait for it... wait for it... $10.00 all coats, suits, pants, dresses, you name it, its ten bucks. Even your closet watcher boyfriends and husbands couldn't say no to just a few more things.
However, at a sale like this... i would not recommend leaving your house without some kind of protection... i know what women are capable when its the last one in size. Leave nothing behind, for you can always store it and pass it on to someone as a lovely bday present.
So get off this blog, and into RK, before someone takes that piece you've been eying.
Much love
Dale

Without Fear, Spring Is Here
Without having to resort to feeding your kids Kraft dinner for the next few weeks just to get that “one more thing” is knowing what to buy, being aware of the purchases you’ve made, and to set yourself a seasonal budget, then sticking with it! In my attempt to help you achieve this, here is what to plan for.
First let’s start with shoes. Heels this season are higher than ever before, we’re talking five to six inches with artistic finishes and futuristic details. For those of you that spend all day in your shoes, it’s more than acceptable to slip into a comfy pair of flats and still be in fashion; however they should adorn some kind of embellishments like pretty girl bows and ribbons or tier upon tier straps reaching as far up the calf as humanly possible.
Dresses have a certain exotic understated prettiness, made of raw silks with floral prints and are full of movement and unstructured fluidity, finished with industrious zippers and cinched at the waist with the ever classic Japanese obi belt. This look can easily be worn for both day and night time excursions, getting you more out of your fashion dollar.
For the first time in a long time, head to toe “designer-ism” is graciously being accepted this season, with that said and by purchasing from one retailer, quite often you can haggle with them to give you a bit of a discount for buying multiple items, once again stretching that dollar.

Fashion forecast for Men in the 09
The mans closet for Spring/Summer 09 is being filled with bright, comfortable and approachable colours and materials, ranging from earthy browns and tans to bold and confident colours of reds and blues, all blended to your individual tastes.
The key item for Spring is the shortened trench, what you would normally see in a 3/4 length is now being seen in a cut that hits you just below the hip, providing men with a height increasing finish with an urbanite twist.
As we fantasize about our time in the warm summer sun, you can expect the nautical influences to take over the style guy's closet, with the marriage of slim cut light coloured denim or drawstring linens pieced together with your unconventional zip front polo and finished with a casual soft suede or grained leather loafer or moccasin, breathes the energy of summer ease in to this classic but stylish look.
Patterns of gingham and paisley, worn under the cotton two button blazer and a pair of grey skinny jeans introduces the fusion of neutral combinations, making this look user friendly for even the most non fashion conscience man out there.
Jungle fever is leaving the woodlands behind and taking a step in to the city, but the style of the jungle is not forgetting its trendy overgrown roots. Safari jackets worn over casual pants and clean cut white cotton shirts are definitely for the trend chasers. Even thought its simplistic in design, but can easily be the kind of look that wears you, if you don't have the confidence to pull it off... My advice "If it doesn't suit you, don't do it!"
All of the looks listed, and any take you might have on how you want your style to be, can be kept current by adding perforated belts shoes and even casual jackets will offer you a very polished and well put together look.
