Klaxon Howl

So I just wrapped the Klaxon Howl show and have to admit there was some inspirational pieces in the collection, even though I am not a fan of the high waisted trouser on men, some guys can rock it, and if you're out there I will find you and suggest you get some. One thing to keep in mind with this waist increase, you need booty to pull it.

The military influence with a twist of what I felt had country western design gave this collection a breathe of fresh air for men for the Spring/Summer styles for 2012.

Pictures are shown below... Enjoy!

Catching Up!!

Hey everyone this past few weeks has been totally insane with projects that I have not had time to drop some lines on my blog. With that said here's what's been going on!

First on the list of things was an amazing day shooting with the amazingly talented and super cute Brian Melo ( www.brianmelo.com ) for the cover of Uncharted Sounds Magazine in prep for the forthcoming launch of his newest album "The Truth" which if its anything like his previous album, will be a kick ass track list to add to your music collection. What an awesome guy!

As the Anokhi Magazine 5th Annual "Sexy and Successful" gala quickly filled a spot in my client Veronica Chail's (Host of Bollywood Blvd) agenda, the hunt for the perfect dress was set into motion. Scouring the city to find something nothing short of spectacular, we finally found it! At my best kept secret shop Guys and Dolls in the trendy Queen Street West neighborhood and designed by the cutest most lovable girls from Brazen Hussy Kiki and Michelle Pedro, there is nothing like the magic that comes from their studio when putting thread to fabric. My personal rock stars of fashion design, love u girls >

With the dress found, now we were off to find some killer heels to set this killer dress on fire! With a stop into HeelBoy on Queen Street we found a gorgeous pair of Steve Madden platforms in a muted taupe colour that couldn't have been more perfect. Snatching up the shoes our next stop was of course accessories.

When putting together a look, accessories can make or break an outfit, and to get your hands on the hottest sparkly bits this city has to offer, we headed to Accessity in Yorkville.

We soon realized that if this outfit was gonna rock, we needed to layer several necklaces to bring just the right amount of delicacy and edge to an already forming must have outfit.

With our hands fun and our outfit done, Miss V and I bounced with joy that she was ready to present an award at this extremely high profile event.

My next step was to starting getting ready for a Valentine's Day segment I was asked to do by Rogers Daytime York. So again my hunt began in search of some dresses that could relate to as many of the viewers as they could.

Hopping back on the subway, I made contact with two model/actors that I adore to accompany me on the show to model these beautiful concoctions.

The segment turned out to be one of the best experiences I had with the Daytime team, the hosts Jacqueline and Jeff are super awesome at what they do, and I love being on air with them. (Video footage of this will be posted on www.elad.ca in the weeks to come) but if you can't wait, you can also see the episode we did in January where we talk about "How to Make Over Your Closet"

The New Year Has Begun!

Right out of the gate as we start what is going to be an amazing year, its time to consider what adjustments you have resolute to make in 2011!

Many of my clients have set their focus on a want to improve their entire selves, which is something I certainly applaud. Sometimes making even the smallest change can be the most difficult thing any person can face.

Well Elad is here to help!

With Veronica and my addiction to each other and our communication via Blackberry, we have set this date in motion prior to 2011 to get her a fresh style as she leads into the new season of Bollywood Blvd, which airs on OMNI 2 on Sundays at 3PM. Loves it!

Armed with Esprit as our clothing sponsor, with a massive thank you to Desia and her team at Brill for making this connection, we are dressed to take on the world!!

On a more personal level, this was the best New Year eva, as I got to style four of my top clients from top to bottom, including doing their hair, not something I normally do, but I am always willing to go over and above to ensure my clients style satisfaction. They were in so many pictures that night, and looking as good as they did, they didn't mind being in front of the flashbulbs. Love my ladies Xo.

With officially being 2011, I am ready and willing to take on what the world wants to throw at me this year. BRING IT ON!

Much love <3

1, 2 or 3 at Credo

Last night I had the opportunity to stop by the grand opening of an exclusive shirt brand out of Spain called Credo, as they unlocked their doors to the shirt savvy public.

Credo's Canadian guru of style Rio, chose the second floor at 114 Cumberland Avenue in Toronto's prestigious Yorkville neighborhood, as the perfect backdrop to launch their first shop ever seen outside of its Spanish roots.

What's neat about this shop is, they custom fit shirts for men, but also for women too! Offering an array of shoes and accessories to satisfy both sexes paired with the staffs expert advice on how to properly shop for a well tailored button up shirt. You can't go wrong!!

What sets these guys apart from other shirt makers? Well they are the first I've seen introduce a multi collared shirt, yes you read that right! Now available in a one collar, two collar and three collar as you can see from the photo attachments. So if you're a fan of getting a little attention, these rare finds are just what your closet is looking for.

On a final note, you should all keep this in mind, all shirts, shoes, belts and ties come in one of each size, and that's it!! This is not the shop for the "I wanna think about it" shopper, take it while you can, cause something this unique is gonna be gonna faster than you can say Visa! Or American Express!

Giving The Gift Of Style

Well, I'm sure that I am not the only person freaking out about "Who? to buy What? for" this holiday season.... Not to worry, I am here to help!

First on my list is a product created by Melanie Cruickshank of Dalish Cosmetics, a Canadian home grown business that works with all natural products, and is completely animal cruelty free!

When first introduced to this brand, and like many others out there, the first question that comes to mind is.... is this gonna be any good??? Now I have worked with my share of different cosmetics and none have been able to deliver what Dalish does.

Now you can fit your full brigade of make up in one little purse, and be able to touch up not just yourself, but all your besties too!

Dalish also suits a large range of different skin tones, from your fairest skin to your darker tones as well. If you have not tried this amazing product, do it!!! Grab your girls, have a couple glasses of wine, and try this astonishing product. It's ability to cover the skin leaving a flawless finish that is picture perfect.

The above shown kit usually retails for around $70.00 but makes for the perfect gift for your Mom, sister and girlfriend. Like I said kids, worth every penny!!!! Dalish offers quite an array of products, so be sure to visit their site www.dalishcosmetics.com for more information.

Next up is booking a Closet Correction service.... What's that? you ask.
A Closet Correction is a service provided only by Elad, where they come to your home at your convenience to sort through your closet, filtering out the keepers and donating things that really aren't contributing to you looking your best.

They then go through all the remaining clothing in your newly organized closet and start making as many outfits as possible. Utilizing all the amazing pieces you have in your collection, giving you or the person you are buying this service for, a fresh perspective on what they may have considered to be a tired closet. These amazing new outfits are then photographed for the client, and posted in their very own online closet. (To the right you can see an example of this service)

Elad does offer a wide variety of packages for all its services available on their website www.elad.ca inquiries and bookings should be mailed to closetcorrection@elad.ca and is available for both men and women.

Recap so far... we have talked about make up, we have talked about closet organization and the rebuilding of new outfits from current collections, now we need to talk hand bags, and this one also applies to both men and women, because in today's world, we all have a ton of things to carry, while others just want something cute to throw on their shoulder to finish off their look.

Well look no further then 442 McAdam. From designer Sarah Shell a Canadian that spent several years studying in New York before she honed in on her love of bag making.

Now 442 McAdam has developed quite a celebrity following with people like Fefe Dobson, Leighton Meester and Taylor Swift coveting these deliciously beautiful pieces of arm candy. Make this an OMG! gift, as the receiver will be most joyful she gets to add one of these amazing top quality bags to her closet. (Shown here is my top fave, the "Hobette")

Guys don't worry we haven't forgotten about you, with the introduction of 442 McAdam's men's bag called "Mr Bag" a drool worthy messenger that will make every man tempted enough to steal it from your locker at the gym. This is a must have for all those trend setting guys out there. Metro status not required ;)

All 442 bags are made in Canada from top grain leathers and Italian pig skins adorned with vintage detailing and finished with the synonymous 442 McAdam metal plate. Pricing for these bags range from $225.00 - $490.00 and will most certainly put you on the "BEST GIFT EVER" list!!

So there you have it, my suggestions on what to get those special people in your lives, and to help spread love, peace and fashion this holiday season!

Much love <3
